Web Design – Lets take a closer look
Web designers generally begin by considering and understanding a client’s website requirements. They then move on to an Information Architecture to set a website’s information hierarchy. This helps to guide the design process.
The next step is for web designers to start creating what we refer to as wireframes. From this point the final step is to move onto the design stage. Web designers generall have several basic design principles. These are used to achieve an aesthetically great looking layout for the client and also creates an excellent user experience.
Here are five design principles professional web designers use as a guidline.
Web Development – Lets take a closer look
Web developers are sometimes referred to as programmers. They will go on to taking the design created by the web designer and turn it into a fully functioning website.
They then either use HTML or a more dynamic approach which incorporates programming languages such as PHP. This is then used to develop various different pages. Advanced web developers may choose to use a special Content Management System such as WordPress or Joomla. These content management systems are used to streamline development. This allows site owners to maintain and update their websites when they have changes they wish to make.
Once the site design and the development process has been completed it's now time to upload the brand new website to a hosting server.
Different web hosting platforms such as cPanel or Plesk may be chosen depending on the type of backend services a website is using.
